SkinCeuticals Vitamin C serum ingredients The real power comes from combining Vitamin C with Vitamin E and ferulic acid, which has been shown to dramatically enhance the effectiveness of Vitamin C. Like SkinCeuticals, these two dupes use the same form of Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid, which is the active form of vitamin C. I’ve heard good things about two dupes of SkinCeuticals Vitamin C E Ferulic acid serum: one from Dr. You might even end up spending as much as the real thing would have cost in the first place. The tricky thing is finding out which dupe is actually worth your money-the last thing you want to do is spend money on a bunch of duplicates that don’t work. And, they always seem to have a promotion running, so Google coupon codes/affiliate codes to bring the price down even further. When a product is as expensive as SkinCeuticals Vitamin C serum, there are always going to be duplicates waiting in the wings, waiting for you to try them. There’s a reason it’s a cult favorite within the Instagram and Reddit skincare communities! It’s $25.95/oz and can be purchased directly through Timeless’ website. Overall, I think this is a great, affordable option that delivers results. For that reason, I only purchase C-Firma in the mini size I don’t find I’m able to get through the full 1-oz size before it really starts oxidizing. It’s also more expensive per ounce, but I find I need less product to cover my face. And again, no added fragrance or SD Alcohol, so it doesn’t cause any irritation. The hydration, in addition to brightening, makes it a winner. I find C-Firma more hydrating, so if you struggle with drier skin, you may have better luck with C-Firma. The other vitamin C I’d compare this to is Drunk Elephant’s C-Firma Vitamin C Day Serum, which I really enjoy. I’m super curious about doing a full 6-month test down the line, as I am curious whether Skinceuticals can really justify its price tag. I’ve only tested the Skinceuticals over a 1-month period, but I noticed more brightening with Skinceuticals. The Timeless formula is suggested to be a dupe for Skinceuticals C E Ferulic serum, but I don’t find them to be identical in terms of results. It’s definitely not the type of product you want to stockpile or stock up on during a sale! Comparisons The key with vitamin C is to make sure you commit to using it because its shelf life is quite short. I continued to use it during its light-orange stage and was able to get through the product before it turned to a darker rust color. I kept mine at my vanity, and it kept for about 4 months before starting to change color. For best results, Timeless recommends using the product within 3 months. I like that the formula is clear because you can start to see when it starts to oxidize. Fortunately, the smell does not linger, and it’s really quite mild in the grand scheme of smells. If you’re used to a vitamin C with fragrance, the “hot dog water” smell of a non-fragranced formula may provide an initial shock. I was able to use this vitamin C daily without any irritation or sensitivity. It also doesn’t contain any essential oils or other potential irritants that take away from the benefits of vitamin C. I was happy to see it didn’t contain denatured alcohol, as I don’t think it agrees with my skin but appears in a lot of vitamin C products. In fact, its brevity is what drew me to the product. Water, Ethoxydiglycol, L-Ascorbic Acid, Propylene Glycol, Alpha Tocopherol, Polysorbate 80, Panthenol, Ferulic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, Benzylalcohol, Dehydroacetic Acid Timeless Skin Care Product Page Vitamin C can make your skin even more sensitive to sunlight, so it’s important to make sure you’re adding an extra level of protection. I applied one pump after washing my face, letting it sit on the skin for about 20 minutes before topping off with a moisturizer and then sunscreen. The Timeless formula is water-thin, making it easily absorbed and incorporated into a a.m. In short, it’s an excellent addition to your skincare routine. Why vitamin C? It brightens, evens skin tone and builds collagen. Timeless Skin Care 20% Vitamin C + E Ferulic Acid Serum: is it worth it? I put it to the test for 6 months.
